For those who don't know, Kim is from New Hampshire and Varun is from Toronto - just a short 8 hour drive apart! They met online by chance, playing video games together with mutual friends and would meet in person on April 1st 2016. Originally intending it to be a one time trip as friends, this was the start of a lifelong bond and many, many, many more 8 hour drives. This is one of the first pictures they ever took together.

After multiple trips to Kim's hometown, Varun and Kim would officially declare themselves a couple on December 12th 2016. Varun met Kim's parents around this time. Varun and Kim would take their first trip together to the scenic Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine, not knowing this would be where (spoilers) Varun proposed 3 years later.

Kim's first trip to Canada was in June 2017. This would be the first time she met Varun's family, and enjoyed being a tourist in the city she would end up moving to a year later.

Through uncertainties on where to live, and how to move ahead in the relationship, Kim decided to move to Toronto on this day. She has been happily living here since!

Varun started the decade by proposing to Kim at midnight on January 1st 2020. Not visible in the picture due to the time of night, the Nubble Lighthouse was lit up with Christmas Lights, and the sound of the wind and the ocean created the perfect atmosphere. With the help of Kim's mom, Varun sneakily purchased the ring of Kim's dreams without her knowing, catching her completely off guard. She said yes :)

After a very lengthy engagement, thanks to a combination of the pandemic and trying to find the perfect time & place, we booked a December Wedding and Reception at Da Vinci Banquet Halls. Our server at Moxie's excitedly gave us this complimentary dessert that evening!
